Winter Shipping Possible Delays Notice
As the cold season sets in, we may occasionally delay shipments of live shrimp to ensure their safety during transit. Even if you place an order now — rest assured, your order is safe with us. We will ship as soon as weather conditions allow — typically when nighttime temperatures at destination stay at 38 °F (≈3.3 °C) or higher.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. To show our appreciation for your trust, every order placed during cold-weather delays will receive a free container of “Opae Ula shrimp food” — a small gift from us for you and your shrimp.
Orders for dry goods (kits without live shrimp, algae, accessories) continue as normal.

To ensure the well-being of the shrimp during transport we line our shipping boxes with thick interlocking insulating foam walls and add cold or heat packs when needed. We ship all Ecosystem Kits and live shrimp orders Expedite via USPS Priority Mail and provide valid tracking numbers for all shipments. Orders will be shipped directly to your door. We strongly recommend someone to be available at the time of delivery to prevent the shrimp from being left outdoors, exposed to extreme temperatures.
No Live Arrival Guarantee for reshipping/regifting the Shrimp Bubble Ecosystem. Special shipping preparations must be employed for shipping live shrimp according to the weather conditions for the specific area of destination.
Regular Shipping Schedule
We ship all our Shrimp Bubble Ecosystem Kits and Live Opae Ula Shrimp via UPS 2nd Day Air.
Livestock Orders usually take 1-2 business days to be processed. Live stock shipments are also shipped when destination geographic area weather permits; night temperatures no lower than 40 F degrees, day temperatures not exceeding 85 F degrees.
Orders via UPS 2nd Day Air are shipped on Monday, Tuesday only. Last day of the week for UPS 2nd Day Air shipping is Tuesday for Thursday delivery - Friday at the latest in case of UPS short delays. No UPS 2nd Day Air are shipped on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays.
Orders via UPS Next Day Air are shipped on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday only. Last day of the week for UPS Next Day Air shipping is Wednesday, for Thursday delivery - Friday at the latest in case of UPS short delays. No UPS Next Day Air are shipped on Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays.
All our dry goods are shipped via USPS First Class Mail, Ground Advantage or UPS Ground, six days a week, Monday to Saturday.
Exceptions to the Shipping Schedule
National Holidays To prevent the live stock from being stuck in transit we postpone shipping orders 2-3 business days before any national holiday.
Weather Conditions: Due to extreme weather conditions, either in our own area or the order’s destination area, we may temporarily place on hold any order that contains live stock.
